The two day Worlds 2011 is finished ! Italian's One two ,Russia three.

A very well organised competition I thought, well everything except the weather and my flights.
After being told by British Airways (Italy) Oops were sorry we transported your Deltaplano to Italy, yah. Uh MM, that was a mistake! Shiite, thanks to Vicki and Greg Cain I have a car and back to Sigillo (with visiting Aussie Trevor Scot)t I go. With my kite to be boxed and now shipped back via Germany I believe.
Just to make my journey even better I have now been stuck in London and every flight is over booked for the summer break and with many hours to kill I talk to you all now. ETA Australia?? but I have to just take it like a man!

Worlds 2011 task 2

Well here we are, big day with shady areas and some did not get lucky with the timing and landed, including myself and team mate Dave May 20 odd K's out from goal. 114km course with 90 odd people in goal. Vicki said it was the best gaggle she had seen arrive at goal ever, imagine 40 plus gliders all trying to land at once!! I will up load pics soon.

This was part of the crazy opening ceremony with fireworks just metres from the crowd spraying sparks over everyone!

I have some vids in HD but the Italian internet is so slow It would take literally hours, so maybe back in Aus I can upload. Looks like we will fly tomorrow and the rest of the week is looking better.

Dalby Big Air 2011

Mate it is great to here, cloud base that is, we did 85kms today, sounds small but including towing early and start gates etc I was airborne for 4.5hrs.Tough day but really happy to get home to the lush capet linned Dalby hangar. I like this landing beside the hanger, put glider in hangar, get beer from fridge bit. MMM might have light winds all week!!
